Program Objectives

The goal of this program is to instill peace values as a key to fostering mutual understanding and appreciation of diversity.

Program Background

The conflict events in Central Sulawesi have impacted the city of Palu, where the majority of the population is Muslim, living alongside Christian residents. These events have triggered acts of violence involving religious symbols, with the intention of escalating the conflict in Palu, the provincial capital.

Additionally, these events have led to prejudice against both Muslim and Christian communities. As a result, peace and efforts to promote a peace movement in Palu have become critical issues. In response to this situation, PeaceGen organized the Peace Camp Palu program to address these challenges and foster peace amidst diversity.

Methods and Approach

Peace Camp is a part of peace education activities. Participants undergo training to learn the 12 Basic Values of Peace, which serve as the foundation for creating peace and understanding diversity.
